In the heart of Hollington in St.Leonard's on sea, TN38 9LL, STS UK director had a vision and after putting it to our team we all said let put the project to work.
Clean up– First we had to clean up all of fallen trees and areas of rubbish..
We made paths with all of the tree that had fallen and also made a bridge which was name the woody wood bridge and now been used by 100s of people.
Mission – To keep the our local woodlands and green land clean and manage them with some love and care making sure people can enjoy and continue to look after.
We have set up volunteer rangers in each area we work in with full training on woodland management and care. full dbs checked so everone is safe when working within our communities green space areas.
From The woody wood walk we also aim to have 12 fruit tree below the skate bowl just above the woody wood walk and also at the exit of the walk the community woody wood garden for local groups and schools to grow fruit and vegs an enjoy.
Outdoor voluntary work has really helped many of our teams with mental health after being off.
